Corfield Downs

Corfield Downs Station is a large pastoral property based on the Corfield Downs near Winton is Western QLD. Our design for these yards also had to incorporate some holding pens as they bring large numbers in to be processed.

In 2021, we custom designed these yards to suit the style of their operation. Their core centre comprised of a Monarch MKII restrainer, a pneumatic 5 way draft, a double deck dual lane loading ramp, adjustable curved lane, 360° manual crowding yard, pneumatic slide and yard gates and a custom 24m x 14m heavy duty shed to cover the core gear. The pneumatic gates are operated by a PLC based, auto drafting control system which integrates with herd management software to selectively separate animals based on pre-determined criteria.

We also built a weaner processing facility next to the main core centre with a weaner crowding yard, race, pneumatic weaner cradle and custom skillion style shed that adjoined to the main shed.
