Port alma

The ramp unit was designed and created as a rush order for the first trial shipment of cattle from Port Alma, Gladstone in 2018. The design brief was for a portable ramp to unload cattle from trucks to enter the ships loading ramp. This ramp needed to be able to move to different spots along the dock to line up with the ships loading ramps. In addition, it needed to be a safe height and decline to ensure cattle did not slip or rush down the ramp before going onto the ship’s ramp. This was an effective piece of equipment to ensure operator and animal safety while meeting ease of use and portability requirements.
