Thompson Longhorn was engaged to design, manufacture and install a large 482 yard sheep exchange facility. Existing selling facilities were becoming out dated and out grown. The new facility is referred to as TRLX which is an acronym for Tamworth Regional Livestock eXchange.

Scope

  • 2D and 3D Design, quantity survey and cost estimating
  • Build a dedicated test facility to trial sale pen design
  • Yards to integrate with covered buyers walkways
  • Dedicated agent selling walkways
  • Provide drinking water to each selling and holding pen
  • Underground waste water drainage system for large troughs
  • Three drafting stations to sort sheep
  • Concreted receival area with wash down capabilities for hygiene requirements
  • Four ramp dual purpose for loading & unloading of both large trailers and small utes
