Cattle Stockyard Virtual Tours

Introduction

What is a virtual tour? It's like playing modern day shoot-em-up game but without guns and the scene is a set of cattle yards.  This also involves having an avatar (to represent you) in which you can look through his eyes or follow him around.  The control of your avatar is simply done with your keyboard's arrow keys, like any game play, which allows you to roam anywhere around the yard and view anything you desire.  To take this one step further there can be others (with their own avatar) roaming around the yards with you also.

How is this done?

The tour is conducted in your internet browser so no need to install any fancy program.  At the bottom of the page is the viewer ready for you to install.  It is done in a few steps, just follow the questions, once installed select the green arrow to load the yards and your avatar. If you want others to join you then Send an Email.

Controls

• Arrow Keys = Move & look around
• Shift + Arrow Keys = Run
• W & S Keys = Look up & down
• Double mouse click to a point on the ground = will teleport you there
• Note: You can even walk up stairs
• Some gates have also been left open so you can walk through them!!

Final Word

Viewer and yards may take time to download depending on the speed of your internet connection.  Once you have downloaded the viewer once it will not have to download again.  Viewer will run in all major internet browsers but not yet on mobile phone devices.  We have experienced difficulties with some older computers not having adequate graphics capabilities, we do apologise.

So What Use Is This To Me?

For those who have their yards designed with Thompson Longhorn Consultancy can choose to have their 2D layout transformed into a virtual tour.  This can be done privately so the world can't see your new design, only those who you choose.  A guided tour can be conducted also with Thompson Longhorn over the telephone.
